How does Payshop payment work with Eupago?

If you have an online store, simply use Eupago’s plugin for WooCommerce, OpenCart, PrestaShop, WHMCS, Joomla – VirtueMart, or ToWeb to start accepting Payshop payments. If you don’t use these platforms, you can integrate Eupago into your website using our API. When the customer selects Payshop at checkout, a code is generated which they can use to pay at a CTT post or Payshop agent.

If you don’t have a website, you can generate Payshop payments in your client area and send the payment code to your customer by email or SMS.

What is the Eupago back office?

The Eupago back office (your client area) allows you to generate payment references for Payshop, Multibanco, and MB WAY, among others. You can also view the status of all payments in real time, manage refunds, understand your customers’ preferred payment methods, and access other statistics that give you an overview of your business.

How do I know if the customer has paid at Payshop?

When your customer makes a payment at Payshop, Eupago automatically receives the confirmation. The Payshop reference will then show as paid in your online store’s back office (if you’re using Eupago’s e-commerce plugin) and in your client area.
Even though it’s a cash payment, confirmation is instant. Your customer also receives a payment receipt from the agent.

When will I receive Payshop payments?

Eupago transfers the payment amount to your account on the next business day after receiving the payment. Remember, Eupago is a payment institution supervised by the Bank of Portugal, so you can be sure your money is secure.

What are the Payshop payment commissions?

Eupago’s commissions are automatically deducted from the transaction amount. Payshop payments have a fixed commission of €0.60 + VAT, regardless of the purchase amount. Eupago’s pricing is completely transparent and available here.
