Recently, Shopify Payments started accepting Multibanco for stores in Portugal. However, the payment deadline is seven days and is only available to customers who provide an email address. If you want to generate Multibanco references in Shopify with a deadline or allow guest checkout, Eupago is the right solution for you.

With Shopify 2.0, you need to install a compatibility script. Go to the order status page and, in the "additional scripts" section, add the code provided by Eupago.
In Shopify, go to "Payments." Then choose "Manual payment methods" and click "Create custom payment method." Next, create a payment method (for example, "Multibanco" or "MB WAY").
Set up Multibanco in Shopify so payment details appear at checkout. If you select “no accounts,” customers can check out as guests. At this step, you can also customize MB WAY messaging and Multibanco reference deadlines.
In your Eupago back office, go to "Channels" and then "Channel Listing." Click to reveal the API key and replace "xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxx" in the script with your API key numbers.
To automatically mark orders as paid, configure the Shopify callback in Eupago’s back office. Once you fill out the form, the callback will be ready.
